This programme has been specifically designed for Year 12 and Year 13 students of Pacific Descent to encourage and normalise Pacific success, self-determination and cultural knowledge in their learning spaces. The cultural workshops are led by Pacific staff at Massey University and encourages each student to participate in discussions centred around cultural values and beliefs on historical teachings and learnings and how they are relevant in nurturing positive change among their peers, with their family and wider community. These learnings not only locates the Pacific young person in their cultural context but brings awareness to concepts that encourage resiliency, collective responsibility, service as a means to leadership and an cultural identity that can be translated and viewed as success.
Given that there are limited spaces, we encourage you to register quickly. Registrations will close on Friday 24th May, 2019.
(STUDENTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS)
